Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

We currently will not share your data with any third parties UNLESS you request us to do so. How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

For users who fill out a contact form, we will retain your data for up to five years and then will delete it. We will not repeatedly contact you or sell your data.

What rights you have over your data

Our website host has data breach policies in place and is a major website host with secure servers. We keep our website up-to-date and use the safest underlying technology to safeguard our data. We use GoDaddy to host our website and our email newsletter and some landing pages are hosted on MailChimp.

We currently do not receive data from any third parties. We may use Google Ads or Google AdWords to advertise this website. If we do, then your online activites will be tracked by Google.

We use Google Analytics to track our website metrics. This includes the device you used to visit our site, the time of day on which you visited, the referral link you clicked to find our website, the geographical region you visited from, the web browser you used and your device’s operating system.

We use this data to make outbound marketing decisions for our website.
